SANDY WILLIAMS, Founder, Fundraising Consultant
My journey into the non-profit sector began in 2004, serving on the board of the Carolina Pregnancy Center. For four years, I contributed to fundraising events, created pathways for planned giving, and provided insight on the organization's strategic plans.
In 2006, I started a business supplying science, geography, and writing curriculum for teachers. I had a wide market, supplying curriculum to customers across the country and overseas. The experience ignited my passion for writing and helping others to be successful in their pursuits.
In 2009, I founded a speech and debate club, teaching students logical thinking, creative writing, and how to form arguments from different perspectives. The experience enriched my ability to write clearly and think logically.
In 2013, I volunteered with a local non-profit that was opening a school for underserved boys. My role evolved into a hired position where I began honing my grant-writing skills under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
In 2021, I was appointed as Development Director at another local non-profit. Over the course of roughly two years, I wrote 31 successful grants and secured approximately $250,000 in funding. I also developed strategic fundraising plans that included two major campaigns, each raising over $200,000, and increased the nonprofit’s revenue by 50%.
In 2024, I founded Vision Bridge Strategies to broaden my impact in the non-profit sector. I specialize in strategic planning, grant writing, and fundraising consulting, helping organizations cast bold visions and secure the funding to bring them to life. Each year, I partner with nonprofits to raise well over a $1,000,000 dollars in grant and campaign funding, empowering them to expand their reach and deepen their impact.
JENNIFER WILLIAMS, Fundraising Consultant
My path into the nonprofit sector began with research. While studying public health and psychology at UNC-Chapel Hill, I worked on projects that analyzed how people make decisions, where systems fail, and what can be done to improve outcomes. I saw how the right data, when gathered and presented well, could tell a story that changed minds and unlocked resources.
That realization shaped the rest of my career. After college, I joined a research team focused on youth health policy, then moved into data science and technical consulting. I led high-stakes projects for Microsoft, where I helped enterprise clients solve complex AI and cloud computing problems. But I kept coming back to the nonprofit world, drawn to the clarity of mission and the real-world impact.
In 2023, I began working with nonprofits full time, leading data migrations, system integrations, and reporting projects for clients across the country. I built custom dashboards, automated grant reports, and cleaned up client databases to improve accuracy and insight. I saw over and over how many organizations were doing life-changing work but lacked the tools to show it clearly. My work helped them bridge that gap.
In 2025, I joined Vision Bridge Strategies to bring that expertise into the grant writing space. I specialize in crafting data-informed narratives that speak to both heart and logic. I help nonprofits turn messy systems into measurable outcomes, and then use those outcomes to write grants that are compelling, credible, and fundable.
Every project I take on is focused on helping nonprofits demonstrate their value, expand their reach, and secure the resources they need to keep changing lives.

A voluntary credential recognized worldwide, the CFRE signifies a confident, ethical fundraising professional.
It is how today’s fundraiser shows accountability, service, and commitment to making a difference for good. We believe the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential is vital to a fundraiser’s professional growth and that it sets the standard for ethical practice in the sector.
